Joined Villa in 1897 and secured regular first-team football in 1899-90, helping the team to the league title with a bumper 27 goals. He also became an England international and won an FA Cup medal in 1905 in a personal display which has been recorded as outstanding in the history books. He ended his Villa career with more than a hundred goals under his belt (to date, the club's ninth all-time top-scorer), before moving down the football ranks via West Brom, retiring in 1911 after serving Lincoln City. His great-great grandson is Jack Grealish.
